Purple Hat

A woman

at the age of 3: when she  takes a look in the mirror she sees a queen;

at the age of 8: when she takes a look in the mirror she sees Cinderella;

at the age of 15: when she takes a look in the mirror she sees a monster (Mom, with a head like that I cannot go to school!);

at the age of 20: when she takes a look in the mirror she sees that  she is “too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly”, still she decides to leave home;

at the age of 30: when she takes a look in the mirror she sees that she is “too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly”, but she thinks not to have time any more to change this, and so she leaves home;

at the age of 40: when she takes a look in the mirror she sees that  she is “too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly”, but she says “But I am clean at least”, and she leaves home;

at the age of 50: when she takes a look in the mirror she sees herself as she is, and she goes then wherever she wants to;

at the age of 60: when she takes a look in the mirror she thinks of the people who cannot see themselves in the mirror anymore. Then she leaves home and conquers the world;

at the age of 70: when she takes a look in the mirror she sees wisdom, knowledge and merriment, and she enjoys life to the full;

at the age of 80 she doesn’t care the mirror. She simply puts on her purple hat and she leaves home to laugh together with the world.

I decided not to wait until the age of 80; I’m going to take my purple hat right now!
